Podcasting was already popular, but the channel’s audience has expanded rapidly in the last year. With time on their hands, people have been exploring the wide world of audio shows and what they’ve found has included everything from comedy dramas to factual presentations.
Today we want to share some of our favourite food and business podcasts; each of these shows is geared towards lending value to your business operations and marketing and general strategy. Take a look, have a listen and if there are others you recommend that people listen to, let us know.

The goal of Restaurant Unstoppable is to inspire, empower and transform the fortunes of restaurant owners and operators around the world. It aims to do this by sharing the stories, ideas, knowledge, values, energy, recommendations, and mentorship from proven successful restaurateurs. For example, the team recently caught up with Stitch, a hospitality concept created by husband and wife team, Chad Grubbs and Jen Semmler Grubbs, to discuss how they’ve worked to create ‘unique experiences’ for their customers.
The Restaurant Technology Guys
With over 95,000 podcasts downloaded, the Restaurant Technology Guys have established themselves as a leader in the field of restaurant technology information. Their target marketing is tech savvy restaurant entrepreneurs, CEOs, operators and managers, and their topics span everything from understanding card processing to what it takes to successfully deploy technology.

The Secret Sauce promises to give listeners the ingredients they need to find success in their food business. Covering topics as diverse as SEO, social media, email marketing, yield utilisation, USPs, Menu engineering, direct mail and partnerships – they make it clear that there is no one single way to win at the restaurant game. For the audience, Secret Sauce promises to help businesses increase turnover and profit and while cutting workload.
In this business podcast, Guy Raz delves into the stories behind some of the world’s best known companies. It is not sector specific; his guests range from restaurant founders to musicians and personal fitness experts. Throughout each interview, Guy aims to do is weave a narrative journey about his guests and the movements they built. We recommend listening to his shows in general, but if it’s restaurant information you’re specifically after, on Jan 4th this year, he welcomed Steve Ells, founder, former CEO, and Executive Chairman of Chipotle Mexican Grill onto the show.
Our last pick of the podcasts for today is another generalist business show. In Real Business Owners, two serial entrepreneurs, Trevor Cowley and Kale Goodman, set out to help businesses of all levels develop and grow by sharing their past experience building several successful business ventures. Listen in if you want to find out about the techniques and strategies they’ve employed and advise others to use if they want to grow their brand.
